Radiation Oncologist: OAR Contour Review

Remote · Global Hourly Currently live $30–$80/hr
Overview

Correct and create organ-at-risk contours on abdominal and pelvic CT and MR planning images for a radiotherapy auto-contouring AI, following current consensus guidelines.

About this job

We're seeking practising radiation oncologists to review organ-at-risk (OAR) contours for a radiotherapy AI company. The images are abdominal and pelvic planning scans, on CT and on MR. Some already carry AI-generated contours that need manual correction to the latest guideline. Others need new OARs drawn from scratch. Either way the final contour has to reflect your own clinical judgement, not an automatic tool.

The work runs in the client's web-based contouring interface. You get a written guide or a recorded walkthrough and a short guideline document for each project. Each project starts with 3 to 5 calibration cases that the client reviews, then a batch of up to 300 image sets. A corrected subset of 30 to 50 cases per project becomes the client's test set, so guideline adherence on those is strict.

This is a radiation oncology task. Radiologists and radiation therapists are not a fit, the contouring conventions are different.

What you'll do
  • Correct existing OAR contours slice by slice so they follow the contouring guidelines provided (ASTRO, ESTRO and other consensus guidelines or published atlases, as specified per project)
  • Draw new OARs from scratch where no contour exists
  • Log which cases you have completed each week
  • Redo cases that come back from the client's quality check (overlaps, discontinuities, guideline deviations)
